Relaxation about IBSR

Our culture is very rushed. We often do not get enough sleep, take short-cuts with eating, minimally exercise and lack states of rest. Our body needs downtime. In addition to sleep, we need to socialize with healthy people, relax with our own brain and body, enjoy hobbies and create, and embrace nature and the outdoors.

We are social beings. We need people in our different worlds – work, home and recreation – that join us together in laughter and and in caring for the planet, family, animals and the people we know. There are an increasing number of toxic people who are looking to argue or find fault with us and about others or to force us to do what they want. These people advertise the good they do but the stress induced by them outweighs any benefit they provide to us. A lack of boundaries for ourselves or other people creates undo pressure, a sense of being overwhelmed and produces resentment and anger.

Once stress is present in the body, it is stored. In fact it increases day by day and over time is stored in our bodies until it causes literal pain, chronic anxiety and physical issues.

It is very important to us at Happy Brain to help people reduce anxiety. We have learned how to remove stress from the body with a variety of science-based techniques and therapies. One way we do this with clients, as part of the counseling process or separately, is using Integrated Based Stress Reduction. This technique is appropriate for children and adults and we have noticed that when we feel better we do better – make better choices with our words and actions. We also use counseling and hypnotherapy to reduce anxiety. You will find more about these techniques throughout our website. Finally, for people that are uncomfortable with office appointments or would like additional support we offer pre-recorded guided meditations, affirmations and hypnosis, or recordings that are tailoredĀ for you. These are available on our products page.

Our belief in reduction of stress starts at the door with a relaxing environment. It is maintained through healthy boundaries with others and positive self-talk. We welcome you to join us in using our positive affirmations and guided meditations or to make an appointment with one of our counselors or hypnotherapist.
